Notarize and Trust & Will have successfully completed the first electronic Will (eWill) in the state of Florida. This achievement follows their collaboration on the first eWill in U.S. history a year ago. The partnership addresses the increasing demand for safe and secure estate planning solutions, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ty Barbo, the first Florida resident to complete his eWill with Trust & Will and Notarize, expressed relief at being able to set up his Will online and execute it digitally from the comfort of his own home. The growing interest in digital execution methods for legal documents, including eWills, has prompted a number of states to move toward allowing such innovations.

Cody Barbo, Co-Founder and CEO of Trust & Will, mentioned that consumer expectations and perceptions of digital solutions in legal matters have changed dramatically during the pandemic. He emphasized that eWills are becoming more widely accepted by consumers, attorneys, and legislators.

Pat Kinsel, Founder and CEO of Notarize, highlighted the importance of solving challenges related to estate planning and wealth management, especially during times of uncertainty. The collaboration between Notarize and Trust & Will aims to bring secure and convenient technologies to individuals, allowing them to manage their lives and futures on their own terms. This milestone in Florida contributes to the mission of providing on-demand trust in critical life moments.
