Inc. magazine today revealed that Notarize is No. 114 on its annual Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent small businesses. Brand names that are now world renowned, like Intuit, Zappos, Under Armour, Microsoft, Patagonia, and many other well-known names gained their first national exposure as honorees on the Inc. 5000.

“We’re truly honored to be recognized by Inc. Magazine and be part of such an impressive list of companies making tremendous strides and impact within their industries.” says Pat Kinsel, CEO and founder of Notarize. “Notarize has been instrumental in the digital transformation that’s powering a new economy by helping businesses, consumers and the notary industry go fully digital and paperless, while also leading efforts to expand remote online notarization (RON) legislation and bring this transformative technology to more Americans. After a year of tremendous growth and hard work, Notarize continues to push forward to enable trust in the digital age and we expect continued innovation, growth, and legislative progress for years to come.”

Not only have the companies on the 2021 Inc. 5000 been very competitive within their markets, but this year’s list also proved especially resilient and flexible given 2020’s unprecedented challenges. Among the 5,000, the average median three-year growth rate soared to 543 percent, and median revenue reached $11.1 million. Together, those companies added more than 610,000 jobs over the past three years.

This award recognition comes on the heels of a tremendous year of growth for us here at Notarize. In the last year, Notarize raised a $130M Series D funding round and saw 600% growth in revenue in the past year, as the world rushed to digitize. In the key industries we serve, Notarize also saw impressive growth including: 800+% in real estate; 300+% in financial services; 200+% development in automotive; and nearly 300% growth overall. Since launching in 2016, Notarize has partnered with best-in-class innovators like Zillow, Adobe, Dropbox to allow these transformative online businesses to bring trust and identity verification into their processes at a scale never before seen online.

In addition to being ranked #114 on the National Inc. 5000 list, Notarize is the #4 fastest growing company in the Boston Metro area.

“The 2021 Inc. 5000 list feels like one of the most important rosters of companies ever compiled,” says Scott Omelianuk, editor-in-chief of Inc. “Building one of the fastest-growing companies in America in any year is a remarkable achievement. Building one in the crisis we’ve lived through is just plain amazing. This kind of accomplishment comes with hard work, smart pivots, great leadership, and the help of a whole lot of people.”

Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found at www.inc.com/inc5000. The top 500 companies, including Notarize at #114, are featured in the September issue of Inc., which will be available on newsstands on August 20th.
