The Process

Form inputs

1. Prepare your documents.

Ensure your Form 1583 is filled out correctly as per USPS’ requirements in order to avoid delays in approval or needing to re-notarize. Click here for an editable 1583 You can reference iPostal1’s Sample Sheet for assistance in doing so. You’ll be prompted to upload your form(s) via the upload links below in order to begin your notary session.

2. Verify your identity.

Notarize uses patent-pending forensic analysis to verify government-issued photo IDs and passports. When prompted, you'll capture images of your photo ID using the video capabilities on your computer or phone and then answer a few questions in order for your identity to be verified. To prepare for this step, scroll down to the bottom of the page to review USPS’ list of acceptable IDs.

5. You're finished!

Completed documents are stored in your safe and secure Notarize account if you ever need them in the future. Once you've submitted your notarized form and IDs to iPostal1, your documents will be reviewed for completion by the iPostal1  Form Support team. If any additional documentation is needed, a representative will be in touch with you to request this. iPostal1 will then notify your mail center location, to review the files for final approval.

5. You're finished!

Completed documents are stored in your safe and secure Notarize account if you ever need them in the future.
