Notarize Welcomes Mike Atwell as Enterprise Sales Lead for Real Estate
It's no secret: At Notarize, we believe online mortgages are the future of real estate.
To realize this fully digital future, we're constantly adding team members who understand the mortgage landscape – its strengths, its pain points, and how we can build eClose strategies that will work for your business and your customers.
That's why today, we're excited to share that Mike Atwell has joined Notarize as its Enterprise Sales lead for real estate. Mike will spearhead the company's lender sales initiatives, with a focus on our game-changing integration with Ellie Mae's Encompass.
"Notarize is on the cutting edge of the eClosing revolution," said Atwell. "I'm thrilled to join a company that has caught the eye of the lending community by addressing the growing need for lenders to provide better services and lower loan costs to their clients."
Mike has spent more than two decades in the mortgage banking industry, where he started his career running retail production channels and regions for national lenders. Over the last decade, Mike has bolstered sales and business development initiatives in the growing world of mortgage lending fintech.
Mike joins Notarize at a time when digital mortgage solutions are exploding in popularity and demand. According to MERS®, the number of eNotes registered to their eRegistry eclipsed 24,000 for March, and has more than tripled from Q1 2019 (19,213) to Q1 2020 (59,030).
Prior to joining Notarize, Mike was the VP of National Sales and VP of Client Success at Information Research, which serves over 3,000 mortgage companies, banks, and lenders across the United States. Mike has helped numerous Software-as-a-Service platforms build and scale their sales footprints in competitive marketplaces, including FinLocker and Motivity Solutions.
"Mike is an incredible addition to our team," said Brian Mirek, VP of Sales at Notarize. "We're positioned to see tremendous growth over the coming months and years, and we know Mike's experience and expertise will play a big role in helping us scale to where we want to be."
