Notarize Welcomes Kim Gaedeke & Casey Garber to Public Affairs Team

Notarize is excited to announce the expansion of our Public Affairs team with the hiring of Kim Gaedeke (AVP, Head of Government Affairs), and Casey Garber (Director of Auto Policy & Industry Relations).

After a year of triple-digit growth, the demand and momentum for remote online notarization (RON) is at an all-time high. The addition of Kim and Casey creates a team of nine Public Affairs professionals helping Notarize meet the needs of industry and our business as numerous sectors enter the digital age for the first time.

Kim and Casey join Notarize at an important moment in the company’s history. To date, 38 states have passed RON laws, and the energy behind this important digital resource continues to grow. As we enter this next chapter, Kim and Casey will help Notarize continue its tradition and philosophy of collaboration and partnership with industry and government partners from across the country.

Kim Gaedeke - AVP, Head of Government Affairs

Kim Gaedeke will oversee Notarize’s Government Affairs & Advocacy team and will develop and execute advocacy objectives before governments across the U.S. Kim joins Notarize following a nine-year career at the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA), where she served under five department directors. Kim was most recently Chief Deputy Director of LARA and was responsible for overseeing the department’s central services, including Policy and Legislative Affairs, Finance and Administrative Services, Communications, and Human Resources, as well the Bureau of Community and Health Systems, and the Child Care Licensing Bureau. Kim has also spent time on staff in the U.S. House of Representatives, the Michigan House of Representatives, and in the private sector as a government relations professional.

Casey Garber - Director of Auto Policy & Industry Relations

As the Director of Auto Policy & Industry Relations, Casey will lead the company’s auto policy strategy, including managing relationships with state and federal transportation agencies, trade associations, organizations, and other stakeholders in the automotive industry. Before joining Notarize, Casey spent seven years as the Manager of Vehicle Programs at the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA). While at AAMVA, Casey worked as a staff lead for the vehicle program and was responsible for overseeing various working groups. Casey helped publish best practices and white papers on various vehicle-related subjects such as electronic odometer disclosures, a nationwide electronic titling solution, the National Motor Vehicle Titling Information System (NMVTIS), consistent vehicle branding practices, and innovations in the autonomous vehicle space. Prior to joining AAMVA, Casey spent ten years serving in state government at the Missouri Department of Revenue, including as legislative coordinator before becoming the Administrator of the Motor Vehicle Bureau for six years.

As we continue to bring paper-based transactions into the digital age, particularly within the auto sector, Casey’s experience and industry knowledge will help Notarize drive important discussions with our industry partners, lawmakers, and regulators about the future.

We’re so excited to welcome Kim and Casey to Notarize as we continue the important work of helping businesses, consumers, and notaries go fully digital and paperless.
